And then a little light relief. A Little Bo Peep made out of recycled packaging, made to amuse my daughter and grandchildren who were coming to play later in the day. 

And walking back from the quarry along the river and by the campsite at the far end of Chapel Stile. Beginning to leave ribbon traces, and photographing shadows.

I made a couple of 3d figure drawings out of wax and string. I'm aiming to get them cast in aluminium next week but they may disappear so I thought I'd photograph them. I do have a passion for shadows and I think they both throw out nice lines so I'll use this as a drawing form again.

A couple of photos from the Stew gallery exhibition. Just to document really.

I've put up my shadows and so far I like how they look. I'm hoping the space they are in stays quite open.

I am going to be in an exhibition coming up at a local gallery called Stew http://stewgallery.tumblr.com/. The whole of the year 3 textiles group are showing and we are setting up next week. The private view is on friday evening, and the work will then be on display for a week. 
I've made three samples out of aluminium mesh and polyester upholstery thread, my hope and aim is to display them so that the light shines through them creating shadow samples. Fingers crossed that things go according to plan.

And it's funny how one thought space can relate to another. In the group  project I made a 3d scribble of an idea and that got me thinking how it would be if that form was multiple. So as it was a simple box really, I made cardboard cubes and stacked them. By accident I made the flower/star shapes and so begins a new thinking pattern.

The sun was shining yesterday at Horsey Gap. I have a love affair with shadows, and those tiny tender moments that are very easy to miss. I often leave my camera behind but I was with a friend who also photographs, so here are a few small shadows.
