Covid19 Diaries
...
Thursday night clap,
the last we are told.
Doctors go down on one knee
at the gates of downing street.
A placard reads "doctors not martyrs".
In Norwich
i look up to the sky
as i always do.
A small half moon
is chalked on the blue blue sky
and the leaves on
my neighbours acacia
are lit yellow-green
by the evening sunshine.
Two swifts,
my first this summer,
fly high
above us.
I am glad for their lives.

The Bombus Hypnorum are buzzing around the entrance to their nest. Four, five, half a dozen. They make me think of my friend Susan who told me their name when she visited my open studio in 2014.
