Following on from my attempts at bronze casting earlier in the year and in connection to the pleated and embroidered pieces of aluminium mesh that I put up for our mid year show at Stew, I decided to try other materials cast in metal. I smocked a small piece of scrim and took it in to show Jim, one of the lovely technicians in the 3d studio. He said it would be unlikely to come out but we could give it a go anyway, for curiousity's sake.
